The Engagement Rings

An engagement rings is a ring worn by a person indicating his or her engagement to be married. Conventionally, the ring is presented as a betrothal gift by a man to his prospective bride while he proposes marriage or directly after she accepts his marriage proposal. It represents a formal agreement to future marriage.

Most engagement rings, like any other kind of jewelry, can be classified according to their style. Since the middle of the 20th century, diamonds have widely featured in engagement rings. Solitaire rings have one single diamond. These traditional engagement rings may have different prong settings and bands. Another major category is engagement rings with side stones. Rings with a larger diamond set in the middle and smaller diamonds on the side fit under this category. Three-stone diamond engagement rings, sometimes called trinity rings or trilogy rings, are rings with three matching diamonds set horizontally in a row with the bigger stone in the center. The three diamonds on the ring are typically said to represent the couple's past, present, and future, but other people give religious significance to the arrangement

In some countries, both men and women wear engagement rings. Both rings are often in the form of a plain band of a precious metal, however, modern "Alternative Metals" such as Stainless Steel, Tungsten Carbide, and Titanium are now being widely used. Often, the engagement ring eventually serves as the wedding ring for the man. In other cultures, the future bride may prefer to buy a wristwatch for her future husband as an engagement present. This is more common if she proposed marriage to him

The price for an engagement ring can vary considerably depending on the materials used, the design of the ring, whether it includes a gemstone, the value of any gemstone, and the seller.

efore planning the perfect wedding, sometimes you need entering the engagement phase. in some country engagement need to be done to annouce for other party, that they are a couple and soon will be married. In Engagement phase, you will need something that remarks you are engage ang that thing is usually a ring.

The engagement ring is given by a groom to-be to his future wife as a symbol agreement of marriage between the two of them. Its use dates back to the time of the ancient Romans when men gave their future brides, not a fancy ring made of expensive metal, but an iron hoop.

It’s a good thing that times have changed now and that engagement rings already have a touch of class in them. However, buying one can be a confusing task for the man, especially if he has no idea about rings and even precious metals and gemstones.

Here’s a guide to help the clueless men out there:

1. Take the girlfriend out shopping. While shopping for other things, the man can try bringing his girlfriend somewhere near rings are being sold. Pass by a shop and pretend to look at them. More often than not, the woman will give her opinion on what she thinks looks best among those on display. This will give the man a hint on what to buy.

2. While number 1 is lame, the man can also look into his girlfriend’s sense of style. If she likes fancy dresses, then the man should get a fancy ring that will surely, well, tickle her fancy. Otherwise, a simple ring will do.

3.But if all else fails, it would be better for men to bring their girlfriends along when buying the ring so men can be sure what their women will like. However, they should at least find creative ways of doing this rather than simply saying, -Come on honey, let’s buy you an engagement ring.-
